A clogged gutter is a slow, expensive problem. Water backs up over the edge and runs down the fascia, into the soffit, behind the siding and eventually against the foundation. In a Cleveland winter it freezes in the trough and the weight pulls the whole run off the house.
We clean gutters by hand rather than blowing them out, because a blower moves the dry leaves and leaves the packed sediment at the bottom of the trough exactly where it was. Then we flush every downspout to confirm it actually runs.
Rain gutter cleaning, eavestrough cleaning, roof and gutter cleaning: whatever you call it, the job is to get every run empty and every downspout flowing before water ends up in the fascia or the basement. We clean gutters all over Cleveland's west side, and we book a roof wash or a house wash onto the same visit when it makes sense.

Every run cleared by hand, including the packed grit at the bottom of the trough that a blower leaves behind.

01How often do gutters need cleaning?
Twice a year for most homes on Cleveland's west side, late spring and again in November after the leaves finish dropping. Homes under mature oaks or maples often need a third visit. Homes with no trees nearby can usually go once.
02Do you blow them out or clean them by hand?
By hand. A blower is faster and it looks clean from the ground, but it only moves dry leaves. The packed sediment at the bottom of the trough, which is what actually holds water and rots the fascia, stays put. We pull it out.
03What do you do with the debris?
We bag it and take it with us. We do not dump it in your landscaping beds or leave piles on the lawn, which is a common shortcut and one you will find out about the next time you look behind the shrubs.
04Do you clean the outside of the gutters too?
That is a separate service called gutter brightening. The black tiger stripes on the gutter face are oxidized aluminum and road film bonded to the finish, and they need a dedicated cleaner. We quote it alongside the cleaning.
05What if my gutters have guards?
We can service most guard systems, but some have to come off and go back on and that takes extra time. Tell us what you have when you request a quote so the price we give you is the price you pay.
06Can you fix a gutter that is pulling away?
We will find it and tell you about it during the free inspection, and we can reseat loose hangers and reseal simple seams. Full replacement or a repitch is a gutter contractor's job and we will say so rather than sell you something we should not.
