Exterior Window Cleaning on Cleveland's west side
Window cleaning is the job Purified Wash was built around. We clean the glass, the frames, the sills and the tracks, we rinse the screens, and we put everything back the way we found it.
What makes it work is the water. A standard window cleaner uses soap and a squeegee, and whatever minerals are in the tap water get left behind as spots when it dries. We run our water through a four stage purification system that strips those minerals out. Purified water dries on its own with nothing left on the glass, which is why we can reach a second story window from the ground and still get a spot free finish.
Some people call it window washing, some call it window cleaning, and plenty just search for window cleaners near me. It is all the same job to us: residential window cleaning for houses across Rocky River, Westlake, Bay Village, Lakewood, Cleveland's west side and eastern Lorain County, with commercial window cleaning available for storefronts and offices.
How we do it
- 01
Scrub
We work the whole pane with a soft bristle brush and lift off pollen, road film, bug spots and the grit that builds up along the edges.
- 02
Pure rinse
We rinse with purified water. Every mineral that leaves a spot has been stripped out, so the glass dries on its own with nothing behind.
- 03
Detail
Frames, sills, tracks and the corners most companies skip. Screens come out, get rinsed, and go back where they belong.
- 04
No Spots check
We walk the property with you before we pack up. Spots or streaks inside 48 hours and we come back and redo it free.
What the job includes

- Screens removed, rinsed and reinstalled
- Sills wiped and tracks vacuumed or brushed out
- Light hard water removal, free on a Triannual plan, heavier etching quoted separately

Why our windows stay clean longer
Most window cleaning leaves something on the glass. A little soap, a little tap water, a few minerals. You cannot see it the day of, but dust sticks to it and the next rain spots right on it. We finish every clean with purified water instead, so there is nothing left on your windows at all.
Soap and tap water
PureRinse
Soap leaves a thin film on the glass, and dust sticks to it.
No soap. The final rinse is pure water, so nothing is left behind.
Minerals in tap water dry into the white spots you see after rain.
The minerals are filtered out first, so the glass dries spot free on its own.
Squeegee lines, towel lint and a ladder against your siding.
A water fed pole from the ground. No ladder on most homes.
Looks good the day of, dull again in a few weeks.
Stays clearer, longer, because there is nothing on it for dirt to grab.
PureRinse is a rinse, not a coating, so rain and pollen still land on the glass. With nothing on it to grab, it looks clean longer.

FAQs about exterior window cleaning
The questions we actually get asked about this service.
01What makes purified water better than soap and a squeegee?
Tap water carries dissolved minerals. When it evaporates off glass those minerals stay behind as spots, which is why a soap job has to be squeegeed and towel dried by hand. Purified water has had the minerals stripped out, so it dries clear on its own. That is what lets us clean a second story window from the ground and still get a finish with no spots.
02Do you have to get on my roof or lean a ladder on my house?
Almost never. Our water fed poles reach about 40 feet from the ground, which covers the glass on nearly every home on Cleveland's west side. Ladders come out only for the rare window a pole cannot reach, and we are fully insured either way.
03Do you clean the inside too?
Yes, interior glass is available and quoted per pane. Interior work is done by hand with shoe covers and drop cloths. Most homeowners book exterior every visit and interior once a year.
04What about hard water spots?
Hard water etching from a sprinkler head or a leaky gutter is mineral buildup bonded to the glass, and a normal cleaning will not remove it. We treat it separately with a restoration compound and quote it on top of the cleaning. We will take a look when we come out to quote and tell you what you are looking at.
05How often should I have my windows cleaned?
Twice a year suits most homes here, usually spring after the pollen drops and fall after the leaves. Homes near the lake, under heavy trees or on a busy road do better quarterly. Our plans discount every visit if you schedule ahead.
06What if it rains the next day?
Rain runs off clean glass. If your windows look worse within 48 hours of the job, call us and we will come back out. That is the No Spots Promise, free of charge.
