Pressure Washing on Cleveland's west side
Anyone can rent a pressure washer. What you get back is a driveway covered in overlapping wand arcs, the stripes people call zebra print, and they do not go away on their own. You have to reclean the whole slab to blend them out.
We run a surface cleaner: a rotating enclosed head that holds a fixed distance off the concrete and covers a wide path in one even pass. The result is a uniform finish across the entire slab with no arcs, no gouging and no wand marks, and it takes a fraction of the time.
Pressure washing and power washing mean the same thing around here, and so does pressure cleaning. Driveway pressure washing is the job we get asked for most, followed by patios, front walks, steps, pavers, and power washing decks and fences at a lower pressure. Residential and commercial, all over Cleveland's west side.
How we do it
- 01
Pre treat
Oil, rust, mildew and organic staining get spot treated first, because water pressure alone does not lift any of them.
- 02
Surface clean
The surface cleaner runs the open concrete in overlapping passes at a fixed height, so the finish is even end to end.
- 03
Edge and detail
Wand work along the edges, expansion joints, steps and anywhere the round head cannot reach.
- 04
Rinse and inspect
A full rinse pushes the slurry off the slab and away from the beds, then we walk it with you.
What the job includes
- Driveways, aprons, sidewalks, walkways and steps
- Patios, pool decks and paver hardscape
- Garage floors, porches and covered entries
- Retaining walls, block and stone
- Oil, rust and organic stain pre treatment
- Post treatment available to slow the regrowth

FAQs about pressure washing
The questions we actually get asked about this service.
01What are zebra stripes and why does my driveway have them?
They are the arcs left by a pressure washer wand swung by hand. The wand is closer to the concrete at the center of the arc than at the edges, so it cleans unevenly, and once the pattern is in the slab it stays until the whole surface is recleaned. A surface cleaner holds a fixed height and cannot leave them.
02Will pressure washing damage my concrete?
Not at the pressure and technique we use. Damage happens when someone holds a zero degree tip inches off the slab and etches it. Older or already spalling concrete gets a lower pressure and a wider tip, and we will tell you before we start if we think a slab is too far gone to clean hard.
03Can you get oil stains out?
Usually, and rarely all the way. Fresh oil lifts well with a degreaser and heat. Old oil that has soaked deep into the pores will lighten significantly but often leaves a shadow. We will tell you honestly what to expect before we quote it rather than after.
04Do you clean pavers and stamped concrete?
Yes, at reduced pressure. Pavers lose joint sand when they are cleaned, so plan on resanding afterward. Stamped and sealed concrete gets the gentlest setting we have, because too much pressure will take the sealer off in patches.
05How often should concrete be cleaned?
Every one to two years for most driveways here. Anything shaded, under trees or on the north side grows back faster, and salt and road film through a Cleveland winter puts a gray cast on everything by spring.
06Do you need to use my water?
Yes, an outside spigot and a working hose bib. We bring the hose, the machine and everything else. If your spigot is weak or shut off, let us know when you book so we can plan for it.
